So it’s already out! And, well, I don’t like to toot my own horn most of the time, but when Mr. Scheinin talks about the “mellifluous oboe” he’s referring to me. Woo hoo! (No name is given, but oh well … I can’t ask for everything now, can I?) I played principal for the set, since Pam was soloing. She also gets a good mention, as did the other “excellent players” in the Concertante!

So read it and enjoy.

Today’s performance went equally well, if not better. (I’m thinking better, but then I’m not always objective.) Working with Maestro Cleve was a delight the entire run. So I’m fairly jazzed tonight.

Tomorrow it’s sing-along Messiah at the California Theatre. After that, let the Nuts begin.

UPDATE
My husband, Dan, thought it was awfully funny that I wrote “I don’t like to toot my own horn.” Heh. He’s right! I do, indeed, like to toot my own horn. So never mind about that. Instead … how ’bout “I don’t like to brag.” Maybe that works better …?! I’m always uncomfortable bragging. Really.
