When I was music librarian of the San Jose Symphony Orchestra (RIP) I used to worry that I’d trip and fall when I was putting out music while the audience was there. I never worried when they weren’t there, of course. But I’m not exactly graceful, and with an audience of over one thousand (sometimes twice that size) I became quite self conscious. But anyway, I never did fall. Whew.
James Levine, on the other hand, did take a spill. Ouch.
