I never listened to opera as a kid. I didn’t like the operatic voice or the stiff posturing of opera performances.

Now that is just bizarre, last night I played an opera, and today we are playing John Adams “Short Ride on a Fast Machine”. Must say it isn’t one of my favorite pieces…liked the opera much better!
John Adams is one of my husband’s favorite composers! I’d love to play that piece someday. (Our orchestra is rather cautious, but I believe that work would go over very well with our audience.) I loved Adams’ newest opera. 🙂
