The new conductor of the New York Philharmonic has announced.
42 years old. Update: Oops! 40. He’s 40. I believe, at 50, I’m still not old enough to be his mother.
But I couldn’t be his mother.
Alan Gilbert (the NYPhilGuy) is also not as young as the conductor we’ll be seeing tomorrow night, James Gaffigan. I just checked Gaffigan was born in 1979. Nearly as young as our oldest. Wow!
And yes, I’m really looking forward to the San Francisco Symphony concert tomorrow. I just have to be well rested and pray that my RLS doesn’t act up. Here’s hoping!
I wonder if any other bloggers I read will be there. I’ve not seen any blogging about the event. Hmmm. I hope I didn’t just imagine the whole invitation.
Just kidding; I did check the email address of the invitation to make sure it was all legit. I’m smart (and perhaps a bit skeptical) that way.
