So these bassoonists are Puttin’ on the Ritz. I’ve never seen players play without moving even a smidge … eventually there’s movement so I realize they really are alive, but at first I was wondering!

I’d love some fun music like this to end our UCSC recital. Let’s see … we have oboe, clarinet, horn, bassoon, trumpet and string bass involved so far. I believe there will be an additional two bassoons and perhaps another string bass along with a cello. Anyone want to arrange something like Puttin’ on the Ritz?

Actually I’ve always wanted an arrangement of “Blame it on the Bossa Nova”, but re-titling it “Blame it on the Oboe Player”, and perhaps having the oboist do some wacky (stupid) things. Really. Someone should come up with THAT for our recital. Don’tcha think? 😉
