Woodhams had other passions. She loved art, architecture and music. She and her husband started the California Youth Symphony in 1952. Richard Woodhams grew up to be a renowned oboist.

The quote above is about oboist Richard Woodhams’ mother. She was a Bay Area resident. One of her daughters has played flute with groups I’ve been in. I didn’t know about the mother, nor did I know she and her husband started CYS.

(I’d love to see that 4 million dollar house her children will be selling.)
