Sasha Frere-Jones sings, and then auto tune just fixes him right up. It’s an interesting listen.
But here’s the thing … I’ve heard pop singers’ recordings that are far more out of tune than his original take. Maybe perfection isn’t exactly what pop music requires. Sometimes that slightly off key thing … well … it sort of works for me.
Maybe I’m just crazy.
Whatever.
What I want to know is when will they get a device that clicks on to an oboe to automatically and imperceptibly correct out of tune oboe players?
