I finally found an oboe for sale! … Its only $85 and it comes with a case and is in good condition (supposedly ) Also, its at the flea market because they’re both have booths at the flea market

I’m so very sorry to read this … I just can’t believe an $85 oboe can be worth anything. Unless it’s used as a lamp stand.

  1. I have a student who bought an old Cabart for $90 and it’s not a bad instrument! I had the same reaction you did when she told me, but after I played it I was pleasantly surprised. It needs adjustment (John Symer has it now), but for $90 I think she got a real bargain.

  2. Heck, I’d buy an oboe for $90 even if it turned out to be no good … just for giving it a go! 🙂

I’ll hope the best for this blogger I read.
