We exist despite the sober formality of great concert halls, despite the boredom of classical musicians’ life, despite fanatic lovers of classical music, despite fans of rock, rap or pop who are afraid of classical music. We treat our Muse with a humorous irony and we’re sure, she will have nothing against it!”

Gee, I’ve never felt that my life is all that boring. Go figure.

  1. I’m curious about the response of any string players seeing this (in terms of the way they’re treating both their sticks and their axes).

  2. Gee, I didn’t know string players called the “axes”! Learn something new every … well … every once in a while in any case. 🙂

(I don’t ever call my instruments “axes” by the way. I wonder if some oboists do. I’m gonna guess yes. And I’m gonna guess the majority who do play jazz …? But that’s just a guess, of course.)
