I’ve been home from the opera for about 30 minutes or so. I’m thinking sleep is what I NEED, but of course after opening night it’s difficult to go straight to bed.
Everyone I spoke with loved the opera. I heard that the sets were absolutely incredible, the singing fabulous, and the direction great. I thought it went quite well. Now that we have the first one down I think we’ll all relax a bit and start to really enjoy ourselves. I hope so, anyway. I have to say I am loving this opera. It might end up being one of my faves!
I sure wish we could see it, though!
Now off to bed with me. I have to be back in the pit tomorrow (um, today) for a 3:00 performance!
