Of course some of what he says … not knowing what to expect, how it’s different every time … well … sounds like an oboe reed!

Fascinating concept. As a horn player, I kept seeing images of ice-horns but did not hear any in the video soundtrack. 🙁

I doubt I’d last even a minute at an ice instrument concert. And hmm … ice-horn? Putting one’s mouth on a frozen piece of ice? Sounds rather painful to me.
