I got very distracted by the speaker in the last session because she kept describing common misconceptions as misnomers. A misnomer is something that is not named correctly. An English horn is neither English nor a horn. It is a misnomer. On the other hand, it is a popular misconception that Edelweiss is the national anthem of Austria because so many people have seen it in The Sound of Music. Get it right, people! These things matter! Especially when you hold yourself out to be a trainer.
Going to wait until tonights Beethoven prom is broadcast on BBC 4 later this week so I get to watch crazy oboe guy! @bbcproms
