Sounds like a brass player. My problem was never the high note but the intonation after a layoff…
Yeah, intonation … and vibrato for me, Bob. When I get back to oboe sometimes I have “old lady vibrato” and it’s best to lay off of it almost completely. (But then lots of times it’s better to lay off it almost completely, I think!)
