  1. Thank you for this, Patty. As I was listening to it I was struck by the fact that, though it is 3 1/2 minutes long, it has only four phrases. It’s the ideal way to show my students how to maintain a long phrase line, keeping the energy pushing smoothly to climax and releasing slowly to final relaxation.

    Having said that, what a wonderful piece! The best religious music exemplifies the best in religion, and this is a wonderful example of that. It left me at peace – at least for the moment…
