Dan and I were able to get home in time for me to attend the final act of Opera San José’s Madama Butterfly. I sat in the pit and just enjoyed. It was David Rohrbaugh’s final performance as music director, so I’m so very glad I was able to attend!
A few weeks prior Dan met up with as many of the orchestra that could make it and took a lovely group photo that was then presented to David at a reception following the performance. I think David was quite pleased with it.
David has been with Opera San José from the very start, and I will miss him. I can’t even imagine how many operas he and I have done together. I can guarantee it’s been a lot!
