Coming this spring: the Steve Jobs opera.

The Guggenheim Museum will preview excerpts of “The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs,” a work about the late Apple executive that will have its world premiere in July at the Santa Fe Opera in New Mexico.

Set for April 9 and 10, the Guggenheim event will mark the first time any portions of the work have been heard in public, said the opera’s composer, Mason Bates, who is in residence at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
