Lodovico Grossi da Viadana: Exultate justi in Domino
Western Illinois University Madrigal Singers; Dr. James Stegall, Conductor

I feel like these words mean even more at the moment.

When the song of the angels is stilled,
when the star in the sky is gone,
when the kings and princes are home,
when the shepherds are back with their flocks,
the work of Christmas begins:
to find the lost,
to heal the broken,
to feed the hungry,
to release the prisoner,
to rebuild the nations,
to bring peace among the people,
to make music in the heart.

René Clausen: Set Me As A Seal
PopUp Choir #11; Tom Trenney, Conductor

So true about it being so personal, I think … I feel the same about English horn. But I suppose every instrumentalist might say that about his or her instrument though, right?

My husband Dan and I are celebrating our 42nd wedding anniversary today. Time … I will never figure it out. It feels like forever. It feels as if we were just married. No matter. I’m grateful.

I Would Live in Your Love by Nathan Jones

I Would Live in Your Love by Sara Teasdale (1884-1933)

I would live in your love as the sea-grasses live in the sea,
Borne up by each wave as it passes, drawn down by each wave that recedes;
I would empty my soul of the dreams that have gathered in me,
I would beat with your heart as it beats, I would follow your soul as it leads.
