So … a few of you have actually added comments below one of my posts. I thank you for that! What I don’t know, though, is if you realize I’ve responded. See, the thing is, if I respond to YOUR post, the place where it says number of responses doesn’t increase. Hmmm. I guess it only shows the initial response. Now I could simply respond by entering what I have to say without hitting your response first, thus changing the response number, but somehow that just seems wrong to me. And I like to be right. (Anyone who knows me knows this to be true!)

But I wonder. When I respond to you, do you receive an email telling you that I’ve done so? Or do I just appear to be silent and rude? (Hmmm. Could the answer be “yes” to BOTH of those questions?) I haven’t a clue how this Discuss option works!

I don’t have a clue how a lot of things work though, so that’s no surprise.

Anyway, if one of you wants to fill me in, that would be okay by me.

Well, well, well … the orchestra is getting mentioned again, albeit briefly. Here’s the snippet:

Add a very good pit orchestra conducted by David Rohrbaugh handling a difficult score and you have one of Opera San Jose’s most powerful productions in recent years.

And we have another favorable review folks! At this point it’s 3 to 1 (SFCV being the only very negative review I’ve seen).

Flat out LIED.

The reviewer DID mention the orchestra. And in the very first paragraph! Where IS my brain these days? (And thanks, Debbie!) But still … was there a mention of the oboe? I don’t think so! So it doesn’t count!

Seriously though, I hope all of you know I’m joking about me being the center of everything. I’m merely the center of my world is all.

The reviewer does call us “little” though. And while we aren’t gigantic, I’m not sure about the word “little”. I’ll have to think on that one. 😉 He used the word “powerful” before the word “little” and I’ll take powerful any time.

Except when I don’t feel like it.

Enough of me! The house is crying out for attention. (My house tends to get very dusty over the run of an opera. Go figure.)

I do apologize about my error. Me? Imperfect? Who’d a thunk it?

This review doesn’t mention the orchestra at all. I wonder if the reviewer went to a tech rehearsal and missed us?

No … I know that’s really not the case. It’s actually not all that often that the orchestra gets a mention. Ah well. Guess we aren’t all that important.

Even if it’s all about the oboe!
