Yes, I’m lusting after something. But I’ll be strong. I’ll not cave in. Yet.

But eventually I want to buy this … and I want to get the extra oboe tray. This way I can carry one oboe with all my tools, my English horn and oboe, OR I can carry two oboes. This case looks like the answer to all my problems. No more bad reeds. No more messy house. No more yard disaster.

Okay. Maybe it’s not the answer to everything, but it would sure be a help when it comes to dealing with my instruments. And that makes me pretty darn happy! How ’bout you?

Yep. I knew you’d be just about as excited as I am. 🙂

Now I just have to rob a bank.

Just kidding … just kidding! But all donations are accepted! 😉

I have no performances (other than playing for my niece’s wedding this past Sunday). I am still teaching, but several students are off at music camp and others have their school’s band camp, so the numbers are low this week. I’ve been very lazy. And I’ve nothing important to blog about (as if I ever do!).

Well, except that we had a bit of a burglary here. While we were in the house asleep, mind you!

Everyone is safe. Nothing was taken that will be missed horribly. (Things can be replaced. People can’t.)

So life goes on. And I wait for opera to begin. I miss playing in a group; practicing just isn’t the same. First opera rehearsal for The Crucible is August 30. I don’t want to wait that long!
