Music is your own experience, your own thoughts, your wisdom. If you don’t live it, it won’t come out of your horn. They teach you there’s a boundary line to music. But, man, there’s no boundary line to art.

… it is okay to quote someone. That’s different than posting someone’s poem in its entirety (or even in part) which I wrote about here. Poems and song lyrics have special rules. Honest. So just know that quotes I post here are legal. From what I understand it would also be legal to use a paragraph of a book (or something shorter) here, as long as credit is given.

This has been brought to you by a very exhausted oboist who is now going to have a quick cuppa tea before she teaches. I’m not sure why I’m so tired. Maybe it’s because today is our 30th wedding anniversary and I’m feeling the years …? Naw. 30 years has flown by. And the marriage is a good one, so I don’t find it exhausting. Most of the time. 😉 (Hi Dan! Love you!)
