It’s down to one. One more La Bohème performance. And it’s sold out, as was tonight’s.
Yes, they probably could have added tomorrow night’s “tentative date” to our schedules and done just fine. I guess they just weren’t willing to take the chance. Ah well.
Things went fine tonight, but the closer I get to the final performance the more I manage to psyche myself out and make solos more difficult. Funny how that happens. On the final performance there’s always this annoying little voice in my head saying, “This is it. Your last time. Hope you don’t blow it!” It’s a most distracting and frustrating voice. Too bad it won’t shut up, eh?
