I just have to say that this was a very good week for my oboe students. I was so impressed with how well they played, and a few are moving so quickly I’m thrilled. I moved three students to longer lessons much sooner than I usually do; they are doing great!

Teaching is a joy. Yes, there are times when I get frustrated; when a student doesn’t practice (and believe me, I know if you’ve not put in the time!) the lesson can feel more like a practice session. I prefer to teach, not to assist a student in practice, of course. But I so enjoy working with students, seeing and hearing them improve, and our “dessert” of duets is lots of fun. Sometimes I say goodbye to a student and I just want to do a happy dance because of how well the student did. Lucky for all, I don’t actually DO that happy dance! 😉

So hoorah for the opportunity to teach. Bravi to all my students. And keep up the good work!

I do such silly things sometimes. Call me a goof! But the latest—the Nohari window thing—was a silly idea.

Sometimes I feel the need to bare all and show all my faults.

Sometimes I need to ignore what I feel!

I’ve removed the link … if you want to tell me about my weaknesses, which are many, you can easily send me an email. Go for it. 🙂

Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and life to everything.
