My dear father died today. It is not, for us, so much a day for mourning. It is good to know that dad is no longer suffering. Being people of faith, we also believe he is in better arms now.

Still, I’ll miss him.

And so a new year—and a new era—begins.

    Thank you, Mike. It is never fun to say goodbye to someone when they leave for so “far” a place, but I do find comfort knowing we’ll be hugging each other again some time in the future.
