My dear father died today. It is not, for us, so much a day for mourning. It is good to know that dad is no longer suffering. Being people of faith, we also believe he is in better arms now.

Still, I’ll miss him.

And so a new year—and a new era—begins.

  1. I’m sorry for your loss. And I know you will rejoice when you see him again one day. But I’m sorry that you have to miss him now.

  2. I’m terribly sorry for your loss. I hope God comforts you and holds you in His hand during this time of difficulty. God bless you and your family.

Thanks, Cooper. I’m doing very well … I really do feel God’s presence and I know I’ll see my father again someday.

  4. Patricia Mitchell

Yes, I will miss him. But I do trust he’s with the Lord and you’re right — I’ll see him again someday. 🙂

  5. Please accept my condolences.

  6. Patricia Mitchell

    Thank you so much, David.

  7. (((Patty)))

    Thinking of you.

  8. Dear Patty,
My condolences to you and your family. I will keep you all in my prayers during this difficult time. May you find comfort in God and those around you.

  9. Please add my condolences to the list.  It’s wonderful you can take comfort in seeing him again, but I know that it’s still hard to say goodbye.

  10. Patricia Mitchell

Thank you, Sara. We are, indeed, finding comfort in our Lord and Savior.

  11. Patricia Mitchell

Thanks so much. I can use hugs! 🙂

  12. Patricia Mitchell

Thank you, Mike. It is never fun to say goodbye to someone when they leave for so “far” a place, but I do find comfort knowing we’ll be hugging each other again some time in the future.
