I did a little practicing of Rigoletto today. Opera San José will be doing it next season, and I just thought I’d pull it out. So different than Puccini.
There are three performances left of Madama Butterfly and I’m sorry to see the season end. Following opera I have one regular Symphony Silicon Valley set and then a short set for the video game concert.
Then? Nada. Zilch. Zero. Nil. Zip.

I was checking out Branagh’s Magic Flute at imdb. Scrolling to the bottom of the page I read this: “If you enjoyed this title, our database also recommends” … and I know you you wanna know what they’d recommend, yes? Probably other operas. Maybe some more Kenneth Branagh movies.

In other news … we are still struggling with problems as some of you may have noticed. You try to get here and can’t, right? Well, it’s not a problem here at home, from what Dan says, but Userland issue. I’ve been contemplating moving all of my stuff to something like Blogger, but I’ve not a clue how to go about doing that, what with all that I have here. If anyone has any recommendations or advice feel free to contact me.
I heard more than I saw (oh dear, I should apologize for that one … you’ll see why in a moment), but it’s still fun to hear Carmen’s Habanera in a way I’ve never heard before.

Hah! Jason Heath has this hysterical video at his site. If I were the bride I think I’d be laughing so hard I’d have to sit down for a moment to calm myself. The people attending the wedding looked as if they needed to sit down too.
