Rotter says creatives are often “essentially little kids – scared to death they are going to screw up.” Bellis suggested addressing principal players with specific remarks if you have remarks for sections. (A “Hey, could I hear a ‘D’ from the brass” is better than, “Wow, brass is way outta tune.”)
Hmmm. I’ve never thought of myself as a little kid, and really, I’m not (always!) scared I’m going to screw up. Honest.
