So I just read that the Supers in San Francisco Opera have their own website, Spearhead News.

You know, I’ve tried for years to be super, to no avail. But you can bet I’m going to peruse the site and see if there is any hope for me. If you are really, really good I think you can be on The Super Committee. I’m not going to reach for the stars, but at least … could it be? … I could be a mini-super or some such thing?

Anyway, I was alerted to all of this via Classical Notes, an dI see there that if I were Super I still couldn’t talk to Anna Netrebko. That’s fine by me. But … well … maybe I could talk to Dmitri Hvorostovsky. Or at least ask him to sing a tune or two? Ya think?

And there’s this, from their Sotto Voce section of the site:
