An award-winning composer gave the Brooklyn Philharmonic more than $70,000 to perform his magnum opus, only to watch in agony as the cash-strapped orchestra “butchered” the piece to avoid paying musicians overtime, a new lawsuit alleges.

Wait. He paid the orchestra to play his work? Am I totally out of it? Do composers do this? The whole story is pretty darn weird.

Read the whole thing and puzzle over it with me.

I’m done.

What a pain, but oh well. That’s taxes for you. I complain, but I finally finish.

But boy do we owe this year. Self-employment has it’s perks, but taxes don’t fit in the perk category! Ouch on taxes. Ouch, ouch, ouch!

BUT … in any case, while we owe a lot we still have a roof over our heads so I need to remember that and be thankful. Besides, complaining and whining really doesn’t change anything and it’s pretty darn boring!

My reward for finishing is lunch. Woo hoo!

Kenny G has forever ruined the Oboe for me. Such a beautiful instrument, and all I can picture when I hear it is his hair! *sigh*

(Oh dear! Does the writer of this Twitter Quote think Kenny G plays the oboe?!)
