Oboe audition in 9 minutes, and all but one of my reeds have died over the summer. Fantastic.

if it is any indication, discovering this 9 minutes before an audition is a bigger problem 🙂 Even the world’s best reed won’t do an unpracticed oboist any justice. *sigh* Students say the darnedest things. I really hope this wasn’t one of mine! hehehe
Ah, students and reeds! I think you have to truly embarrass yourself by a bad reed experience to realize you can’t use wishful thinking and ancient reeds and get by!
