   Is the reason that certain facial piercings make me cringe (particularly tongue and lip) because I’ve played one wind instrument or another for 40 years? Also, I didn’t realize a 15-year-old could legally even get a piercing without parent/guardian approval…yikes.

   On the other hand, it might just be that I’m a fogey – I was sort of mildly dismayed to see the kid playing Michael with an earring the last time I did Peter Pan (he was maybe nine or ten, I thought). If he’d been at least high-school age I don’t think it would’ve bothered me as much.

   Fun to re-read sometimes – “…to see that the kid who played Michael had an earring…” might’ve been a better way to phrase that? Oh well.
