I just read that Mel Ulrich will be performing in Graham, Texas, where he now resides with his family. I’m happy to hear it; he has a wonderful voice. I had read, some years back, that he had retired. Maybe he’ll pop up now and then and sing after all! (Not mentioned in the article is that Mel was an artist in residence with Opera San José from 1993-1996.)
