“Discipline sets you free,” the professor went on. “It’s like jazz. You can’t be great at improvising if you don’t learn your chords and scales first.”

I read it here, at Eileen Huang’s blog.

  1. Thank you for the link, Patty! What do your acronyms (BQOD, FBQD, etc.) stand for? I thought they were Monday Quote of the Day, Tuesday Quote of the Day, etc., but these stumped me.

  2. FBQD = Facebook Quote of the Day
TQOD = Twitter Quote of the Day
BQOD = Blog Quote of the Day
SQOD (used very infrequently) = Student Quote of the Day (and I do warn them first!)
MQOD = Music Quote of the Day

I suppose I should have a key, eh?

    Cheers! 🙂
