Okay, okay, I thought I wasn’t going to post in August, but I did a little thing with a mask I ordered. It isn’t pleasant. It makes me want to cry, honestly. But if I have to use one, at least I own one now.

  1. Just curious — where did you get yours? It looks more structured than the one I got for my son. His keeps falling down. 🙁

  2. I purchased both of mine on Etsy. Where are you located? I’d be happy to send both your way if you pay postage. For me they were simply a waste of money, as I can’t deal with them. Is your son an oboist? (I’ve already put them through the wash after I gave them a try.)

  3. FYI If you want to send me your address (pattyoboe@me.com) I’ll send both priority mail if you are willing to pay the $8 or so that it will cost. (You can Venmo or Zelle me that.) I’d love to see these get used.

  4. That would be so awesome. Yes, he started oboe in 5th grade. He’s now in 7th. Last year was a lot of Zooming and private lessons. This year he has band with bell covers and playing masks. I will email you!

  5. I really hope one of the masks works for him! (And I’m just so happy someone is still finding my site useful for something, at least!)

I have a dreadful time keeping masks on: my right ear just doesn’t “hold” them well. So I use a lanyard kind of thing that I tighten after I pull up a mask. It’s the only thing that works for me! https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B08HRSZS8F/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 … in case you’re interested.

  6. I hope the masks arrived!

  7. They did. Thank you so much for sending these. They will be used!

  8. Oh I’m so glad to hear that, Laura. Thank you for letting me know.
