Cosmic Harmonies for Oboe and Piano by Robert W. Smith. Movement 1: Yelapa. Inspired by “Adam and Eve in Yelapa” by Fred “Nall” Hollis, housed at the International Arts Center on the campus of Troy University in Troy, Alabama.
Oboe: Dr. Jillian Camwell Piano: Dr. Hui-Ting Yang
This three-movement piece was composed for Jillian Camwell in 2022. Thanks to a generous grant from Troy University, this work was recorded by Camwell and Yang at Rabadash Studios in Mandeville, LA, with video by C.A. Video Productions. Produced and edited by Dr. Dave Camwell.
This project is in memoriam of the composer, our good friend, Robert W. Smith, who passed away in September 2023.
