Stephen Paulus: Pilgrims’ Hymn
The Bemidji State University Choir; Isaac Lovdahl, Conductor
Randall Thompson: The Last Words of David
The Northern Lights Choral; Bruce Phelps, Conductor; Jodi Richert, Piano
He that ruleth over men must be just,
must be just, must be just!
Ruling in the fear of God, ruling in the fear of God,
the fear of God.
And he shall be as the light of the morning,
when the sun riseth,
even a morning without clouds;
as the tender grass
springing out of the earth
by clear shining
After rain, after rain, after rain.
Alleluia. Alleluia Alleluia Alleluia Alleluia
Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen.
If I Could Sing
Raffles Singers; Toh Ban Sheng, Director
I wrote to ask about the song, wondering about the words, and here are the responses:
The English name of the song is if I can sing a complete song?I don’t know if there is the English version. It’s made by a sister named Huangmeilian who can’t sing a complete song due to her disease. However, we can hear all her love and praises to the Lord from the video. Thanks God.
and
If I can complete singing a song,
It would be for thanksgiving and praising you;
In suffering, you give me comfort,
In anxiety, you give me wisdom.
Even though I cannot open my mouth to sing,
I’d offer you my truthful worship.
In every moment, you hold my hand and guide me,
Your love fills my heart’s content.
O skylark in the air,
and people who can sing!
Would you sing on my behalf,
Praising God’s incomparable beauty.
I would listen attentively with my ears,
I would resonate with my heart,
This most beautiful sound that sprang from the depth of my heart,
I really do love you! I really do love You.

Cantate Domino canticum novum,
Sing to the Lord a new song!
Cantate Domino omnis terra,
Sing to the Lord all the earth!
Sing to the Lord and bless his name:
Proclaim his salvation from day to day.
Declare his glory among the nations,
His wonders among all people.
For the Lord is great and greatly to be praised.
Sing!
Cantate Domino canticum novum.

Sing a new song!
